The energy market is noisy. Your next step doesn’t have to be.
Less fog
Brokerage can be opaque, time-consuming, and hard to compare.
More clarity
See the choices, conditions, and next steps in plain English.
A local return
Connect everyday electricity use to measurable environmental action.
How it works
Four clear steps. One less thing to carry.
The six-month clock starts when your energy supply starts.
01
Get in touch
Tell us what your organisation needs from its energy supply and where the friction is today.
02
Receive a free quote and switch
Compare a competitive deal and switch both gas and electricity to become eligible for the community grant model.
03
Set up without the hassle
Your supply continues as normal while the details, billing, and handover are managed clearly.
04
Become eligible after six months
Subject to switching both gas and electricity, your organisation can apply for eligible energy-reduction projects after six months and when the fund conditions are met.
The offer
Commercial energy support with a community purpose.
Two connected parts. Clear benefits for your organisation, and a separate model for local environmental impact.
01 · Your organisation
Competitive energy without the fog.
Secure competitive energy deals and validate or recover errors on your bills. 100% renewable electricity is offered as standard, but if a non-renewable, standard-rate supply suits your organisation better, that's available too. You choose what fits.
0.5p per kWh of electricity only contributes to the community fund. It supports projects that reduce energy use, improve environmental performance, or cut carbon across the borough.
The fund is for energy reduction, environmental benefit, and sustainability.
Customers must switch both gas and electricity. After six months from the supply start date, and when the fund reaches the required threshold, eligible organisations can apply.
Could include
LEDs, insulation, heating controls, efficient equipment, solar PV where appropriate, and energy-management systems.
Independent decisions
The Community Foundation for Calderdale manages grant decisions independently. Hawley Energy has no say in outcomes.
Grants cannot fund general business support or commercial expansion. Financial savings are a secondary benefit to measurable energy and environmental impact.
Local coverage
One borough. Many different energy realities.
From town centres to valley communities, we work with organisations across Calderdale.
